J.Mac is a Canadian sculptor whose work emcompasses the human element. Through the sculptural medium, her work reflects what she observes around her - whether it be the politics of living, social ramifications of the environment or humour derived from our human frailties. J.Mac's current series of works uncovers the truth behind our most interpersonal relationships. By casting her forms in fiberglass, she creates a base where she can apply rope and various materials to its surface to create the desired emotional and physical presence.

Her art has been shown in Canada, USA, Europe and Souh East Asia. J.Mac has won may awards and her work is included in numerous corporate collections in Canada and The Philippines. J.Mac was chosen as one of the three artists to represent Canada at the ARTiade 2004 - Olympics of Visual Art, whch ran in conjunction with the XXVIII Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. J.Mac was elected as one of two artists to represent the Sculptors Society Of Canada in the 1st Beijing Biennale. Her sculptures were also shown at the Biennale D'Arte Contemporanea, Rome, Italy and the Biennale Internazionale Dell' Arta Contemporanea Firence Italy in 2003.

J.Mac is a graduate of the Ontario College Of Art in Toronto and her post graduate studies include: Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France, University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Education, Toronto, Canada.
